It's an age where aliens, monsters and other dangers threaten the Earth, and various heroes have risen to protect it. Supporting these heroes are the human defense forces, of which the sisters Kitajishi Miyuki and Yuri are a part. Specifically, their office is for hero consultation, and they help heroes solve their problems, but they also help evacuation procedures during emergencies. Yuri was formerly an immensely powerful and popular magic girl, but now she helps protect people in a more human way. In their first case, they consult with a hero who has lost his powers, and is trying to find a way to live as an ordinary human.

Humanity is expanding into space, and they have begun genetically engineering children to be able to adapt to the new environments. Sonoba Shinogu is the owner and chef of a restaurant called "Heaven's Door," an ordinary and not very popular restaurant. He has two part-time workers who dress as maids, Maeda Atari and Ariga Chie. Through some weird quirk, they begin receiving as customers famous people from throughout history. These people are transported through time and space to Heaven's Door, just before their deaths, and Shinogu has to figure out how to satisfy their order for their last meals. Famous visitors include Japanese historical figures, like Oda Nobunaga and Ryoma Sakamoto, as well as foreigners like Marie Antoinette.

I rather liked Ganma, which takes place in a world with superheroes. I was interested to see what issues heroes would want to consult about. Saigo no Restaurant was an neat idea, but I wonder how long they can keep the premise fresh. Majestic Prince might be fun for mecha fans (there's also an anime already). It was a little too fan-servicey to keep me interested, though.
My opinion: γ - Ganma seems like it might be good for those who are interested in seeing super heroes' problems. It might be interesting to see what kind of last meals famous people would like in Saigo no Restaurant. Majestic Prince would be good for those who like mecha/alines and already watched the anime and want to see more.
Tsuda Takatoshi is about to begin his first year in Ousai Academy. His decision to enter Ousai was based upon it being close to his home and he paid no heed to the fact he'd be among the first boys to enter the recently gender-integrated school.
On his first trip to school, Takatoshi is surrounded by girls; the train has nothing but girls, the walk to school has nothing but girls and once he finally arrives he is approached by a group of girls and summarily appointed vice-president of the student council and, as expected, he is the only boy there.
Now Takatoshi finds himself surrounded by crazy girls who do nothing but horrify him with their candid conversations about feminine hygiene products and, what's worse, assume he's the worst kind of man, the kind who doesn't clean himself and watches porn all day long.
n the romance comedy, a girl named Mitsuki Kanzaki lives with her step-brother Yuya after her mother remarries. One day, Mitsuki is possessed by the self-proclaimed spirit of a young girl, Hiyori Kotobuki. Hiyori (in Mitsuki's body) must fall in love with Yuya to move towards the "Gates of Heaven."
The lead character Dandy is an alien hunter and the "dandiest man in space." The anime is set far in the future where people have gone to the far reaches of the universe. Dandy is searching for aliens that no one has found before with his robot partner QT.
At the boundary between this realm and another, there live eight million gods, dead spirits who serve the gods, and other assorted spirits who help and meddle in the affairs of humans. A sweet middle school girl named Hiyori Iki has been enduring bullying from her classmates, and she goes to the restroom by herself to cry. Scrawled on the bathroom wall is a phone number and the message, "I solve your troubles."
After Hiyori calls the number, she encounters a homeless boy wearing a jersey who calls himself a god. The boy, named Yato, is rough, moody, lazy, and never listens to anyone's wishes, but he had the power to be a god... that no one knew of.
The story will revolve around the friendship and coming-of-age of two boys. It begins with Aoba Watase, a boy who goes to high school in Tokyo and lives a carefree daily life. On the morning of his school's opening ceremony after summer vacation, he goes to campus as usual, but he has a chance encounter with another boy.

Miyanaga Saki is a high school freshman who doesn’t like mahjong. Ever since she was a child, she would lose her New Year’s gift money during her family mahjong game. If she won, her parents would be upset, and if she lost, well, she lost. As a result, she’s learned to play in such a way that her score always remains plus/minus zero: not good enough to win, but not bad enough to lose. When we meet her, she’s being dragged to her school’s mahjong club by an old friend. Shio Ogura is a Japanese high school student, who is visiting Taiwan on a school trip when she is suddenly attacked by monsters. Agents known as "E-Gene Holders" from the government agency DOGOO also arrive, who wield weapons infused with the spirits of historical figures. Shio is revealed to also be an E-Gene Holder when the soul of Oda Nobunaga awakens after she tries to rescue a friend.
Takamiya Honoka is a regular student whose only problem seems to be that he sits next to Kagari Ayaka, the school's #1 beauty. They have never spoken to each other before and any small interaction between them immediately results in her fanclub beating him. Yet when a falling part of the school's building is about to send him to the afterlife, it's Kagari that comes to his rescue. Only... she's dressed as a witch, carrying him in her arms and floating on a broom?! Kagari tells him it is her mission to protect him and that now she can finally protect him openly rather than undercover.
The original manga revolves around a girl named Yokoi who sits next to a boy only known as Seki-kun. During class, Seki-kun continues to not pay attention and instead creates amazing little distractions, such as a detailed golf course with the course's hole being a dent in his desk, or an entire dramatic war being played out by paper shogi pieces. Yokoi often finds herself getting reluctantly interested in his games, even though they always seem to end up getting HER in trouble with the teacher!
Kazama Kenji likes to believe he is something of a delinquent. Moreover, others seem to like to agree that he is. Of course, Kenji's gang finds their way to a group of four not-so-normal girls—Chitose, Sakura, Minami and Roka—and all at once, whatever reputation he may have is nothing compared to the outrageous behavior of the girls. This week's mangas didn't interest me much.
My opinion: √3 = (Hitonami ni Ogoreya Onago) - good for those wanting a supernatural mixed with some mystery. Kind of sounds like a supernatural version of Sket Dance. Concierge Platinum - Since it's a spin-off of Concierge, then if you liked Concierge, then expect the same stuff, but with hotels... Flagger no Houteishiki - sounds perfect for those that are into galges I would think. Maybe they'll incorporate flags into the system? Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki - good for those into ecchi maybe since it sounds like it's all about the MC peeking at his girlfriend... Well, we'll see how the romance goes, but at least there's no waiting before he confesses since they get together so soon... Kinoko Ningen no Kekkon - looks good for those wanting something slice-of-life-ish... Sachiare! - This manga looks like it'd be perfect for those wanting to read about an "awwwww so cute and innocent wife" type. I'm curious to find out why she would marry a high school boy though...

Soredemo Boku wa Kimi ga Suki was sweet but kind of sad, since the relationships explored all ended. It seems like there is some hope for a happy ending though! Hamatora seems quite different from the first episode of the anime. I prefer the manga-start to the anime-start. It seems to introduce the characters and the world in a more entertaining way, in my opinion. Renai SLG is not really my kind of manga, and I don't think it has enough ecchi stuff (at least in the first few chapters) to attract the audience it might be looking for.
My opinion: Hamatora might be interesting for those that are into the anime. Hana to Oyogu might be good for the people who like some mystery and 4komas. It might be interesting to see how she became a ghost... Ore to Sex Sureba Ureru - Those interested in the manga industry might want to check it out to see how Kaho became a mangaka... Although I think the description makes it seem like it's going to be a lot more ecchi filled and those interested in it may be disappointed... ^^;; Orebushi - If you're looking for a more slice of life type manga and seeing the struggles of a singer, this manga may be for you~ Renai SLG - Does sound like the stereotypical plot from an anime... Sounds like it's geared toward those into anime/games... Soredemo Boku wa Kimi ga Suki - If you're wanting a romance type manga, then this would be the one to check out...

However, Hanamura is a major jerk, who is someone who always seems to get out of things without damaging her reputation. Knowing it would make her late for her special first day, she just pretended she'd never seen the old woman. The Hanamura-san one was a surprisingly different take on the usual "embarking on high school life" story. That girl is a selfish jerk, and it's kind of sad that she seems to always get away with treating other people so poorly! Totem seemed like a very standard shounen battle manga, but it wasn't bad. Urushi would probably be interesting for people into shogi. I know basically nothing at all about the game, though.
My opinion: DT no Ore ga. looks like it'd be good for someone looking for another ecchi series to pick up... Gesu Iyo! Hanamura-san appeals to me the most. I'm curious to see how she does things (or more like not do) and go unscathed~ Totem and Urushi are both one-shots that were somewhat recently published in Jump. Both are good if you want something short to read since they're both one-shots. Totem is more for the person who wants something supernatural, while Urushi is probably best for someone who is into shogi. The idea that you can still play shogi in your mind while in a coma is interesting but does that mean you can play while you're dreaming too? :o

Mitsukubi Condor and Gazer are both very standard one-shots of their genre. I enjoyed Gazer a bit more, mostly because I liked the art more. I wasn't sure whether or not to call it a mystery-- the answer to the mystery is known from the first page. However, if it turns into a series, I imagine they'll be solving crimes together. Tokiwasure no Sutehime was an interesting one, since the girl actually seems pretty inhuman (at the beginning, at least). Also, she gets into pretty violent difficulties in the modern world, from an interesting mixture of naivete and indifference to injury.
My opinion: The Gazer one-shot is from the mangaka who also published Koisome Momiji, although it seems to be in a different genre (action as opposed to romance from before). If you are looking for a more action-y type one-shot, then this would be for you. The Mitsukubi Condor one-shot is also another action-y type one-shot. Of the two one-shots, I thought Gazer looked/sounded the more interesting of the two. On the other hand, Tokiwasure no Sutehime - Tokio Engitan sounded the most interesting of the three. I'm curious to see how a supernatural being made from the past would deal with the confusing modern times and technology. Also, why would her creator abandon her after making her...?

At her lowest, one of her students, Sena, rides up on a "white horse" bicycle and takes care of her wounds. Is her student Sena her prince on a white horse, finally come, or is that just ridiculous? Now, Madarame has an absurd crush on her student that she just can't seem to shake.

Not much interested me this week, but I guess my three can be separated by what kind of relationships you like to read about. In "Why not be my dog?," there's kind of a teasing dominance/submission thing going on between the manager and employee. In "Madarame-sensei," it's about an inappropriate crush of a teacher on her student. In "Buttered Cat Paradox," there's a woman and a man that let their assumptions about one another run away with them (this one also has more sexual content).
My opinion: If you liked Usotsuki Paradox, then I'm sure you'll like Butter Neko no Paradox, which is supposed to be a spin-off so expect more relationship drama~ If you're looking for something supernatural to read with some action thrown in, then Inugamihime ni Kuchizuke would be the manga for you... I don't think much can really happen in Madarame-sensei no Mousou Gakkyuu Nisshi since I doubt the teacher and student will get together. Check it out if you're in the modd for more of a slapstick romantic comedy type manga.

The Isobe one is a gag manga, and the ukiyoe-type art might make it stand out a little. Killing Bites was really nothing out of the ordinary, but there will probably be neat animal-people fights. Tonari no Yamada-san was pretty cute, and might be liked by people who are into reading about that kind of shy not-quite-yet-romance.
My opinion: Bad Boys Glare is a sequel to Bad Boys, which isn't scanlated yet, but if you can read Japanese, then if you're in the mood for yankees, this one is right up your alley. If you're looking for a moe/ecchi/onii-chan type manga, then Imouto! Android is the manga for you. Isobe Isobee Monogatari～Ukiyo wa Tsuraiyo～ is perfect for people who are in the mood for a historical gag manga. Killing Bites seems good for someone looking for a bit more ecchi and fighting. Kyou wa Shine no ni Mottekoi no Hi seems more of an off-beat type horror manga. If you're into romance, then I'm sure you'll like Tonari no Yamada-san.

I think Kalyx was my favorite this week. It's such a tragic story, and I can't imagine how it could end well, but the main characters have a very interesting relationship. Panakeia Hand (I'm pretty sure they meant panacea) was also a pretty cute story. It was not extremely original, but the relationship between the two main characters made it interesting. Onigiri seemed like a very standard battle manga.
My opinion: Out of all the series, Kalyx probably interested me the most. I'm sure there'll be some drama and tears in how the romance will develop between the flower girl and the main character and how they'll deal with her living a shortened life span. Romance readers will probably want to check this one out. Megane to Maid no Fubunritsu is a must-read for those that are into maids and action. The added benefit is that it's only one volume long. If you want an action adventure series, then Onigiri will be the manga for you. I'm curious about Panakeia Hand and how the high school genius surgeon will interact with a Japanese doctor and how she'll reveal that she's also a surgeon who's probably better than the guy. Well, it's only 5 chapters long, so maybe someone will pick it up. Rocket Starter probably is probably the second most interesting sounding to me because of the mystery behind why those two have the power to fly. Well, if you want a mystery with some action, then this manga is for you.

Parthenon-kun will be nice for fans of ridiculous, over-the-top comedy. Illegal Rare has an interesting twist on the idea of supernatural creatures, where they're just trying not to be hunted down and killed off. It seems like an idea that might work well to support a long-running story. The Meldina story is described as "Russian Steampunk," and it seems like it also has a lot of potential.
My opinion: Illegal Rare - a new series in Jump from the mangaka who made Nurarihyon no Mago. Expect more nice art and supernatural action in this one, if the mangaka continues in the same realm as the last manga~ Kikai Shikake no Meldina - sound interesting with the mysterious aspects. I'm probably the most interested in this manga. Kyou no Cerberus - good for those wanting a romantic comedy type manga. Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!? - based on a popular light novel - If you're a fan of magical girls, then this manga if for you~ Seikaiisan Taisen Parthenon-kun - If you're looking for a short school life comedy one-shot, then you should this one out. Wonderful Wonder World - On the other hand, if you're more in the mood for a short action/comedy one-shot, then you should check out this one-shot instead.
