Hoshino Shiho is known in school as a major delinquent, and there are even three students who repeatedly ask her to be a part of her 'gang.' While Shiho does talk pretty rough, and she does beat up bullies when they're in her way, she really doesn't think of herself as a delinquent. One night, in her family's hot spring inn, a spaceship crashes into the bath house. The alien from inside, "Dejiraoki Seco Omega," claims he has come to conquer and destroy Earth, as he has destroyed many planets before it. Luckily for Shiho, another alien soon shows up, who manages to leash Omega to a video-game-like controller. Finding herself in possession of this controller, Shiho promptly uses it to force him to take responsibility for the mess he's made of the bath house. Now Shiho has an angry alien under her control, but who knows what else is out there to threaten the Earth?

Hinata wracked his brain trying to find a way to help her, and finally settled on making her a blog and establishing an online fan base. Specifically, he puts up sexy content of her, to take advantage of the fact that she's really cute. The infusions of attention from her fans help keep her strong enough to protect Hinata from all the other malicious supernatural spirits.

Mangakko was very short; it's basically a single joke. Junai Junkies would be for people who want lots of sex and nudity in their manga.

Furansu Nikki - If you're interested in seeing people from other countries interested in manga, then you should check out this manga.
Junai Junkies - If you're in the mood for an ecchi comedy, then you should check out this manga instead.
Mangakko - On the other hand, if you're in the mood for reading something short (a one-shot, perhaps) about, you guessed it - manga again, then you should go for this manga instead.

When Fujiwara Motomu was first introduced to live rock music, he decided it was amazing and he wanted to be a part of it! He ran into a band member from "Blue Bears" (the band he first saw live) at a convenience store, and begged the band member to let him join. The band member told him that if he could get the top rank at the Japan Academy of Music (J.A.M.), he could join them.

Fujiwara (nicknamed Fuji Cue) immediately started practicing guitar, and somehow managed to pass the entrance exam for the J.A.M.. At the entrance ceremony, he found that he would be paired with another student, and they would be required to give a live performance at the Welcome Convention. His partner, Hoshikawa Uta, is an incredibly talented girl, who suffers from crippling stage fright. Will they make it through their live performance, and will he be able to achieve his dream of getting to the top?

Ten years ago, a black shape appeared in the sky and destroyed the city below. Kagerou and Momiji were children when the destruction took place, and they have grown together into teenagers beneath the mysterious structure. There is an undeniable attraction between these two friends, but Kagerou is hesitant to confess his feelings because he feels that he is too weak to protect her.

One day, the structure acts again, sending down strange balls that eat people and transform them into monsters. Kagerou and Momiji's encounter that day changes them forever. Kagerou is taken into an organization that explains to him that he is now an 'ember,' and Momiji is a non-human "dross," useful only as experimental material. Kagerou can't accept this, though, and is determined to do anything in his power to protect the girl he loves.

Mikado Shuuji is just an ordinary guy, but he has a very unusual knife that he uses for cooking. Hinamori Botan is one of those hot ninja girls, but her efforts to attack Shuuji mostly end up inadvertently stripping her. After she concludes that she does not want to steal the sword and kill Shuuji, she ends up deciding to serve him as a ninja instead. Now she must protect him from the other ninja that come to claim his sword and his life!

There were some good ones this week. In Hiniru, I am really curious what's going to happen with the central couple, but it seems like it can only have a sad ending with that set up. Fuji Cue's Music was pretty funny, and it seems interesting to see how Motomu and Uta make their way through this unconventional school. Ninkoi is the one for fans of ecchi and awkward (often accidental) nude situations.

My opinion:
Ane Kurabe - If you're into harems and ecchi manga, then you might as well check out this manga.
Fuji Cue!!! Fuji Cue’s Music!! - I'm a bit interested to see how and if the boy is able to perform well and join the band. If you're into musical manga, then you should take a look at this.
Himejijou Living Dead - On the other hand, if you're into horror, and historical settings, then this may be more your cup of tea.
Hiniru - If you like sci-fi and a romance story, then this manga may appeal to you.
Kami no Kuni - This is from the mangaka of Defense Devil, so if you like action in historical settings, then this would definitely appeal to you.
Ninkoi - Karenbo Hichou - If the combination of hot ninja girls + action + ecchi situations sounds like your kind of manga, then you should take a look at this manga.

Yaegaki Meguru's next door neighbor is unique, to say the least. They are the Kusanagi ninja lineage, and their son, Kanata, has been her classmate and friend since their younger years. Kanata would always get into trouble or be late to class due to his ninja upbringings. Every morning, Meguru would have to pull him away from his training with his father. Most days, he's late to class anyway.

In the past, they both vowed to never hide secrets from each other, yet Kanata would not reveal the "true purpose of a ninja." Meguru understood the reason behind Kanata's secrecy regarding his ninja background when a powerful force is released inside their own school. Then, Kanata will reveal his true potential as a ninja.

As Japan's population grows older and smaller, and murder rates sky rocket, the Japanese government began to implement stricter laws against the worst criminals. With even the death penalty lacking the deterring force to stop the most violent criminals, Japan brought back to life a law from the 19th century: the "Revenge" law. This law will now allow victims and their related parties to employ a government special forces agency to capture the murderer and reenact the exact same methods with which the victim died onto the murderer.

Yamagishi Yuji is the 7th member of the Special Forces "Sukedachi-nin." Each of the members of this special forces have been chosen to enforce the Revenge law because they too have been a victim of past crimes.

Hyuga Tetsuo and Kusanagi Itsuki have been best friends since childhood, even though they are very different. Tetsuo is loud, good-natured, rough, not very smart, and dreams of being a teacher one day. Itsuki is smart, quiet, and very serious. One day, Tetsuo gets in a fight that leads his teacher to expel him from school, and Itsuki gets the same treatment for trying to help him. While Tetsuo is angrily sitting in class afterward, a missile launches from his pinky finger, killing the teacher.

Tetsuo soon finds out that he is or is becoming more than what he once was. He's now become embroiled in a war he doesn't understand, and one of his other classmates has revealed herself as his ally. However, Itsuki is not involved, and staying near Tetsuo will likely end up getting him killed. Will Tetsuo be able to figure out what's going on, and also protect his best friend?

"...Umaku Ikanai" was really cute and funny. I think anyone looking for a fairly innocent romantic comedy would enjoy it. "Tetsu no Ou" seems set up to be a standard battle manga, but I liked the focus on the two boys' friendship. RKD-EK9 was a unusual look at the afterlife, and how scientific proof of its existence could affect the living.

My opinion:
Kanata - If you're a fan of action and ninjas, then you might like this short one-shot.
Nakamura Koedo to Daizu Eryou wa Umaku Ikanai - If you're in the mood for a romantic comedy where the world is trying to trying to prevent the couple from staying in the relationship, then this may be more your style.
RKD-EK9 - This nice one-shot is from the mangaka of Death Note/Bakuman and Bakemonogatari/Medaka Box. If you're a fan of either mangaka, then this is a must read.
Sukedachi 9 - This is an interesting take on how to prevent people from committing crimes by punishing people with the crime they committed. I'd be interested in reading this.
Tetsu no Ou - If you like sci-fi,action and aliens, they you should check out this manga.
Tsurezure Children - This is another romantic comedy, but in 4koma. If want another choice of romance and the troubles young love go through, then you may want to check out this one instead.

Their trigger grants them an individual ability that will help them navigate through the dangerous area.

Dan Hibiki wakes up and soon meets the telepath Hiiragi Sakura, radar-girl Misaki Haru, strong-man Kubo Taketo, and psychokinetic Fuse Yuuto. Dan's own ability seems to be to copy that of anyone he is near. They will have to work together strategically if they want any chance of getting out alive!

After the Earth was struck by a meteor, humanity began to move out into space, spreading across many different worlds. The GIS real estate company has an important job: finding people the homes that they desire across a variety of different planets.

The main character awoke after a serious illness and found that everything but his brain had been replaced by a mechanical human body. The trauma apparently affected his memory as well, and he couldn't remember who he was or where he came from. He had a frustrating sense, though, that he had a home he should go to and people who were waiting for him.

With no way to find them, he is passing the time as a GIS real estate agent. He and his colleagues take on cases from many different kinds of people, and he learns about their lives and their troubles as he helps them find a home of their own.

This week has some really good manga! I really liked Apollo ni Sayonara. It has an episodic structure, where the main character helps a new client each chapter, but also seems like it is gradually developing his story as well. Each chapter involves a different aspect of this future universe with its new technology and strange worlds. Kami to Yobareta Kyuuketsuki was surprisingly sad in the first few chapters, though it has the oddness of a vampire joining the Japanese pantheon. Abyss seems like its going to be a very strategic story, where the group has to analyze and solve each new situation they come to with the tools available to them. I liked the teamwork aspect of the story, even if the survival-game set-up is not all that original.

My opinion:
Abyss - If you're into survival games with powers, then you may want to check this manga out. Out of the three, this piqued my interest the most...
Apollo ni Sayonara - If you're into sci-fi and exploring different worlds, then this manga may be the one for you...
Kami to Yobareta Kyuuketsuki - If you like vampires and other supernatural elements, on the other hand, then you may be tempted to read this manga instead.

Humanity is on the brink of extinction as a flower known as "Viscar" infects humans and animals, turning them into mindless hosts that feed on others. If you get bitten by the infected, or inhale the pollen that emits from their bodies, the flower will plant itself into your brain. Humanity is fighting a losing battle against this world-wide pandemic, and most people have given up hope.

Volt was once part of the army and had been assigned to be the guard of Dr. Kisilng, the scientist leading the development of a vaccine to fight against the Viscar. From an unfortunate accident, one of the contained Viscar pollen escaped, infecting Dr. Kisling. Dr. Kisling's final wish to Volt was to find his daughter Lilith, and, with her help, continue the development of the vaccine. Lilith and Volt now venture into the post-apocalyptic world to bring back hope to humanity.

Technology has now allowed people to be numerically categorized based on their psychological, physical, and emotional traits. People have begun using this technology to standardize what everyone considers a "good way to live." They call this system "PSYCHO-PASS."

Although all people know the standard "good way to live," crime still occurs. Kougami Shinya and his colleagues are part of the governmental agency that apprehends individuals deemed lacking under the PSYCHO-PASS standard. His agency are actually comprised of individuals who were once found to be problematic for society. They are now the dogs of the government.

My opinion:
Garden - If you want a nice one-shot about an apocalyptic world, then you should check this manga out. I probably am the most interested in this manga this week.
Niku Kyu! - If you're into cat-girls and ecchi situations, then this is right up your alley.
Psycho-Pass - Kanshikan Kougami Shinya - If you liked the Psycho-Pass anime and want to know more about Kougami Shinya and are intrigued about the idea of people being judged and prosecuted by physical and emotional traits, then you should check out this manga instead.

Kurusu Hiyori is a young policewoman and the daughter of a former police chief. She has the unusual curse of having predictive dreams of a person's murder the following day. Tragically, the first of these dreams she experienced showed her the death of her own father. Over time, the dreams have led to her social isolation, a kind of grim-reaper reputation, and a lot of problems at work-- the police are not fond of her habit of rushing off to investigate future crimes she saw in her dreams. Even worse, the dreams that have left her as an adult bedwetter have not enabled her to save a single person.

That all changes, on the day after she dreams of the assassination of Claus Haida, a creepy foreigner. She is overjoyed to have rescued him, but it turns out that he is something of a monster himself. He works for a foreign company, and has decided that it is in both of their interests for the two of them to team up. He is undeniably useful, but can Hiyori really join forces with such a person?

He is rescued by a half-elf, Satera, and her companion, a small magical cat called Puck. They're looking for something that was stolen from them, and Subaru decides to help. However, all too soon, he learns that he does indeed have a special ability. When he dies, he begins his adventure again from the moment when he was summoned to the fantasy world. Will he be able to use his ability to help Satera?

There were some pretty good ones again this week. I wasn't a huge fan of the sexual-harassing-foreigner in Nightmare Funk, but I really liked the story. It would be really awful to have that kind of ability, but then not really have any way to make a meaningful difference. Ankoku Gakkou is extremely slow-moving, but it seems like an interesting Lord-of-the-Flies group character kind of story. Re: Zero reminds me a little of "Edge of Tomorrow" in the main character's ability, but in an MMO-like fantasy world.

My opinion:
Ankoku Gakkou - If you like survival type games and mystery set in a school setting, then this may be the manga for you.
Nightmare Funk - On the other hand, if you want some ecchi-ness with a mix of mystery, then this may be the manga for you. I'm curious to see if they explain the dreams and if she'll be able to save more people. This sounds the most interesting of the three.
Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu - However, if you're more into fantasy and the ability of a person to respawn (like in MMOs), then this manga would be a good pick for you.

Mangatellers are printing the the first Volume of R.u.N.!

Hello!

Mangatellers, the group that has been releasing the chapters of R.u.N. here at MH, have recently started a Kickstarter campaign in order to get its first volume printed!

R.u.N. is about the parkour practice, and a lot of parkour teams, traceurs and freerunners, including Parkour Generations and Yamakasi, have been a great influence for this manga. Mangatellers have used numerous videos and photos as reference material for the panels in R.u.N.

The Kickstarter campaign has reached 50% in less than a month! And if you wanna help somehow, you can do it through this link.
