Hey, folks

We celebrated yet another April Fools' Day on MangaHelpers and we couldn't let it go unnoticed. This year we changed the last post of every thread with random messages such as "Adult pictures aren't allowed." or "Why doesn't anyone love me?" which of course has confused and surprised people which created funny moments. After his girlfriend Ami got bit by some strange, giant 'bug', she encountered a violent, fully-grown clone of herself. Could this bug and the clone have something to do with Kazuki's recovery and with a string of recent murders in the area?

One day, he ends up downloading a strange game called "Revolt" onto his phone. It's a game that has him orchestrate a revolution, and the graphics seem incredibly life-like. At the end, he learns that he was actually giving real-world orders, and that the game was part of a scouting process for a company that helps to run revolutions. Now they want him to be their commander and help them save the world!

Phil has heard rumors of their library, and is eager to see it for himself in any case. The kid who answers the door, however, refuses to let him enter. After he finally makes it inside the monastery, he finds that tragedy seems to have struck the fellowship and that 'kid' is actually a beautiful girl who seems to be a noble. Things are more complicated than they seem, and it looks like Phil is going to be in over his head!

I enjoyed Hateshinai Rasen. It's a pretty dark story, and I'm interested to see how the main character will cope with his condition. Revolt already has a number of translations up! I am curious whether the main character will be able to cope with the gravity of knowing that his 'gaming' decisions cost real lives, and if he really will be able to make the world a better place. In Shoujo wa Shoka no Umi de Nemuru, the girl is very mysterious-- and I think she's also more dangerous than she first appeared!

My opinion:
GNM - Hateshinai Rasen - If you're into sci-fi, clones and mysteries, then this manga hits all those buttons.
REVOLT - Another manga about some type of video game, although this one has an interesting take on it, by using it as a tool to recruit someone.
Rūnin-The RONIN in the Ruined City - If you're in the mood for a post-apocalyptic world with samurais, then you should check out this manga.
Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin - The Animation - If you like a mix of supernatural and school life, then you may like this.
Shoujo wa Shoka no Umi de Nemuru - If you like books and fantasy, then you should check this manga out.
Yagate Maken no Alicebell - However, if you like ecchi manga filled with lots of girls, then you may want to read this manga instead.

Kenrantaru Grande Scene was my favorite this week in terms of story. It starts at the beginning of Kanade's love of ballet, and will presumably continue to follow her life and career. Dasei 67% would be good for people who enjoy some raunchy humor, but I don't think the art passes into 'mature' territory (they even censored the sex toy that Yoshizawa was using as a model!). Sora x Lila was not my favorite, but I think I've just seen too many girlfriend-dies-and-comes-back-as-an-alien manga. Also, the comedic parts of the story seem a bit off-tone from the main character's grief.

My opinion:
Dasei 67 Percent - If you're interested in reading about the troubles a college student has with drawing a manga and her inexperience with men and other ecchi situations, then you should check it out.
Kenrantaru Grande Scene - If you like manga about the ballet world, like Subaru and Moon, then you take a look at this.
Sora x Rira - Sorairo no Lila to Okubyou na Boku - If you like sci-fi, comedy and alien girlfriends, or you're a fan of the mangaka who created the Karin manga, then this manga may be for you...

Kuusou Shoujo - If you're a fan of slice of life with a mix of supernatural and you don't want to invest too much into a series, then you may like this manga.
Nasu to Altair - If you're in the mood for some slice of life comedy with some possible romance, then you may want to check this out.
Saeism - If you're not in the mood for comedy and want something a little darker, such as the topic of bullying, then you should check out this manga instead.

Kako to Nise Tantei kind of reminded me of a reverse 'Psych,' where he's using his 'reasoning skills' as a cover for actual supernatural abilities. It looks like the stories will be pretty creepy, with dangerous ghosts. Minna no Shiranai Aitsu is probably a good one for fans of gender-bender stories, though I can't imagine they'd be able to keep his secret for three years! Sanoba Witch has a lot going on, but I'd say the emphasis is on ecchi-ness.


My opinion:
Kako to Nise Tantei - If you're a fan of horror and mystery, then check this out.
Minna no Shiranai Aitsu - On the other hand, if cross dressing is your thing, then you should check this one instead.
Sanoba Witch - Those that are in the mood for ecchi manga should take a look at this manga instead.

Atlantid - If you like steam punk and action, then you should check this manga out.
Kyochuu Rettou - Although survival type manga on an island aren't new, if you're a fan of that type of manga, then you should take a look at this manga instead.
Seitokai Osayagami Sayuri wa Ganbatte Iru! - If you're in the mood for ecchi situations at school, then this may be the manga for you instead.

Soredemo Sekai o Kuzusunara was a cute take on a socially awkward girl trying to make friends-- so she can destroy the world later, of course . Bouryoku Tantei wasn't really my thing, but probably interesting for people who like school delinquent-type stories.

My opinion:
Bouryoku Tantei - If you're a fan of delinquent manga, then you should check this one out.

The Junketsu no Maria Exhibition would be great for fans of the main story, who would like to see a little more of the characters. Tenjouura kara Douzo Yoroshiku kind of feels like it is based on a game, where the heroine has to make it to her 18th birthday to become an empress. It would be fun for people interested in stories about cross-class romance and people thrust into court intrigue, I think. Monochrome Teito Ninpouchou was a little silly for me, but it looks like the first two chapters are already scanlated. If you're interested, it's already there for you to check out!

Junketsu no Maria Exhibition - If you liked the prequel to it and are in the mood for a historical supernatural manga, then this short one volume manga may appeal to you.

Senka no Kanojo was my favorite this week. It's a very intense and action-packed story, and I really hope the lead two characters are able to make it through. Akuma mo Fumu wo Osoreru Tokoro ('Where Satans Fear to Tread') was surprisingly funny, though I'm not sure how long the story can last. Surely not all of the contenders are partnered with perverted mangaka ! Non de Poan is not really up my alley, but I think it might be good for people who like that kind of 'helping customers come to self-understanding' story.

My opinion:
Akuma mo Fumu wo Osoreru Tokoro - If you want something that's a little ecchi and has action, then this manga might be for you.
Kami Eshi Nisshi - If you like slice of life comedies, then you should check this manga out.
Non de Poan - If you're in the mood for a manga about solving their problems, then you may want to read this manga.
Senka no Kanojo - However, if you're in the mood for some action in a dangerous world, then you should check out this manga instead.

Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. This weekly article introduces you to manga that are new and/or have not been scanlated yet. This week features a newbie policeman, a long-necked girl and a virus that turned the world into monsters. Remember, if you like any of the series, favorite them. One day, he ends up downloading a strange game called "Revolt" onto his phone. It's a game that has him orchestrate a revolution, and the graphics seem incredibly life-like. At the end, he learns that he was actually giving real-world orders, and that the game was part of a scouting process for a company that helps to run revolutions. Now they want him to be their commander and help them save the world!

Magicalo Magicaru would be good for people who like parodies of magic girl stories, though parts of it are pretty serious. My description of Saya is based on only the first two chapters, but it seems like it will be an action-filled story so far. Noboru Kotera-san is a much calmer story, and pretty much all of the ecchi content is just from boys watching Kotera climbing.
Engraver was the most interesting to me this week, and I'm curious to see if they will be able to keep Yuiko alive. Jittan no Jitan Recipe might be good for people who want tips on cooking Japanese food quickly. Tokumei no Kanojotachi kind of seemed like a tour of the kinds of adult entertainment available in various areas of Japan, so it would be good for people who are interested in that.

My opinion:
Dai Go Tokusou - If you're wanting to see a newbie policeman fight against the mafia, then you should check this manga out.
Engraver - Toki no Yugami o Kiru Mono - If, on the other hand, you are in the mood for some action, then you may find this manga a bit more to your taste.
Jittan no Jitan Recipe - If you like manga about cooking, then you should check out this manga then.
Kanojyo wa Rokurokubi - However, if you're in the mood for a romantic comedy, then you may find this a better fit, especially since there are already 3 chapters scanlated.
Magicalo Magical - If you want something a little more supernatural, then this might be what you should check out instead.
Noboru Kotera-san - If you're looking for some ecchiness, then this is probably your best bet as you watch a girl go bouldering.
REVOLT - If you want some sci-fi mixed with your action, then you should take a look at this manga with one chapter already scanlated.
Saya - This is another manga that mixes in some ecchiness, but thrown in with some action. If that mix is what you want, then take a look at this manga as well.
Tokumei no Kanojotachi - If you want a more serious look at the adult entertainment industry (and you know you want some ecchiness), then this is probably a little more serious than the other ecchi series.
